One of the priority issues when choosing an auxiliary power wiring or repairing the existing wiring in vehicles, as well as in various electrical equipment, is the level of fire safety and the temperature range of its use. Each variety, whether it is an auto -tractor, connecting or other other, these indicators have their differences. Therefore, this article will consider the main types of wires and the area of their use.
Types of electric wires before proceeding with the analysis of the classification of wires, it should be noted that they are all divided into 2 groups:
One -core and multi -dawn. The former are mainly used as conductors of various signals. The latter are preferable in cases where it is possible to bring all the wires to one section of the connection, otherwise the separate connection will provoke the appearance of interference. For multi-core wires, small electrical resistance is characteristic due to a homogeneous distribution of current strength in transverse residential section.
Among the whole variety of wires, the following types should be distinguished:
· Heat -resistant;
· Wires designed for power plants;
· Embolled;
· Connecting;
· Auto -tractor.
The heat -resistant wire is a conductor with enhanced thermal insulation, from which it follows that it is intended for use in conditions of very high temperatures: steel -rolling industry, shipbuilding, aircraft industry, etc. D. Due to increased requirements for thermal resistance, materials based on silicon-organic rubber are used in such wires as isolation in such wires. Power wires (cables) are designed for electrical installations of various types. Their characteristics may have differences depending on the type of insulation. A more acceptable alternative to impregnated paper is stitched polyethylene. The wires with PE of insulation are characterized by higher indicators of thermal resistance, small dielectric losses and high conductive properties.
In enameled wires, enamel is used to reduce the insulating layer. They are used in the production of inductance coils and various heating elements, transformers, etc. The enamel line designed for winding always has one -core structure. During the production of heating elements, conductors with increased specific resistance are used. Connecting wires most often have PVC isolation. When choosing them, it is necessary to proceed from the main parameters of the current and the purpose of the device. For example, multi -core conductors are used as connecting cables in equipment of increased accuracy. In order to prevent interference, plastic isolation can be enhanced by means of a metal winding.
Auto -tractor wires, in fact, are the same connecting conductors with the only difference in improved insulation, which makes it possible to operate in conditions of aggressive media. They are designed to connect tractor vehicles and other devices, the nominal voltage of which fluctuates in the redistribution of 48V.
