Tyrol borders on the Austrian foothills of the Alps (Voralberg), with Salzburg and Kernton (Kärnten). And also in the north borders on Bova, in the southwest with Switzerland and in the south with Italy (South Tyrol).

The highest mountain in Tyrol is at the same time the highest mountain of Austria. The top of Grossglockner has a height of 3,798 meters above sea level and is located in the eastern tyrol.
