Medan, through which the Delhi River flows, can be called one of the most beautiful cities in Indonesia. It is located on the island of Sumatra. This magnificent city was founded in the sixteenth century on the site of a small village.
At first, Medan was inhabited by Bataks who were descendants of the indigenous people of Sumatra. Now this city is inhabited by the Chinese, Tamilians, immigrants from the island of Java.
