The total number of buyers, a visiting store determines its success. And it doesn’t matter, whether it is a huge hypermarket or a small outlet, to know how many visitors come to the store not only pleasant, but also very useful. Knowing the dynamics of such an indicator, you can quite simply understand what advertising action or other actions gave good results, and which were useless, this is why the calculation of customers helps. Determining the exact number of buyers is made using specially designed visitors’ counters.
Knowing the exact number of visitors will improve work and increase profit. The counters are quite different from each other, and they should choose based on the following parameters:
— The approximate number of visitors
— Features of the room itself
— The necessary accuracy of customer counting
The counters, in turn, are divided into groups depending on the type of sensor. And they are four types:
— laser
— infrared
— Thermal imaging
— capacitive
The meters equipped with infrared sensors are one of the most common that are used to calculate customers. The buyer is “registered”, at the time of overcoming an invisible obstacle from infrared rays. Also, such counters are inexpensive and compact. And their installation does not take a large amount of time and is carried out quite simply. If there is a wide passage with high attendance, then it is advisable to install horizontal counters. For medium and small stores that do not have great visits, a vertical counter is suitable.
If the entrance to the store is about 4 meters in length, and the movement is quite intense, then you should think about the purchase of a capacitive meter. The accuracy of such counters is very high, but the price is also quite high. It is because of the price that they do not gain great popularity. They register visitors by changing the capacitive parameters of the space that they control.
Thermal imaging counters, based on the name, register visitors on thermal radiation. Their main drawback also follows from here, if it is located in the winter near the entrance, then a large number of people are able to pass and the calculation of customers will be incorrect. The most accurate and effective are laser counters that are perfect for large stores and their only minus is the price.
