The main load is on the floor of any room, it should be strong, durable and, if possible, warm. These parameters correspond to bulk floors that are of two varieties, the first of them is mineral bulk floors, the second is polymer bulk floors. The term “mineral bulk floors” usually means an ordinary concrete screed made of dry self -leveling mixture based on cement with the addition of various modifiers. Such a floor can serve as an independent look only in garage rooms, in other cases it serves as the basis for laying the finish coating, which can serve as linoleum, laminate or ceramic tiles.
Mixtures for the manufacture of mineral bulk floor are divided into basic, medium and finish. They are used in accordance with the uneven sex, which must be leveled.
Polymer bulk floors are essentially a layer of a polymer poured over a concrete screed. They are used both in industrial facilities, and in residential buildings, cultural and educational institutions, shopping centers. They are characterized by high wear resistance, significant service life, as well as an attractive appearance. There are several types of polymer bulk floors:
· Epoxy floors are characterized by particularly high resistance to chemical exposure and moisture, do not smell when pouring, dry in 1-2 days. High operational characteristics of epoxy floors allow them to be used at industrial facilities, in utility rooms, as well as as a floor covering in the bathroom or in the kitchen.
· Polyurethane floors have a lower cost than epoxy, despite the fact that their advantages are not inferior to the last. Have high wear resistance, elasticity, heat and moisture resistance, which allows you to build them at production facilities, in administrative buildings. This type of sex is distinguished by high resistance to vibrational shock loads, so its best use is use in places where a large stream of people passes.
· Invalial 3 D floors have high decorative qualities, thanks to the use of various elements and interspersed, which improve the appearance of the floor.
The choice of a suitable type of floor depends on the purpose of the room and the features of its application, as well as the operating conditions of the floor.
For the installation of the bulk floor, a thorough preparation of the base is carried out, if necessary, waterproofing is carried out, the entire loose and unsuitable part of the screed is removed, putty and seal of defects and cracks is carried out, the base is cleaned of various types of pollution and preliminary surface primer. Such careful preparation and observance of technology contribute to the high strength of the floors and the long period of their service. A polymer mixture of the necessary thickness is applied to the prepared base, after which its surface is leveled with special devices. Drying is carried out for the required time in the absence of drafts and temperature changes.
Special equipment is required to fill the polymeric floors, and specialists should produce it, this is the only way to get high -quality, decorative, durable and durable floor. Polymer’s floors are predicted for a long service life, it should be up to 50 years.
