The small mining town of Berlin in Nevada began his story in 1897. Despite the fact that silver and gold were mined here, he could not achieve prosperity. A significant role in the devastation of Berlin was played by a terrible crisis, called panic of 1907, when many banks across the country announced their bankruptcy. Most residents left the city in 1911.
It is located in the mountains of Nevada at an altitude of 2 035 meters above sea level. In the best years, 300 people lived in Berlin, and the city was a place with 75 buildings. To this day, residential buildings, mail, flushing attitudes and other mysterious institutions have been preserved here.
It is worth noting that Berlin until 1970 was the property of the organization Nevada Company, which created an infrastructure here for the extraction of valuable breeds of metal. Then the city was redeemed by the state and already in 1971 Berlin was in the national register of historical places of the United States.
This allows you to maintain the city in good condition, despite the fact that life has stopped here more than a hundred years ago. Tourists who have decided to visit the ghost city in Nevada can simply inspect empty buildings or go to a special tour of mines and everything that is connected with them.
