Metal pipes in the classic form are divided into large subgroups — black and non -ferrous metal. Metals in which iron (cast iron, steel) predominantly prevails, belong to black. In the colored basis are metals, such as copper, zinc, nickel, etc. p. Historically, that all metals are called non -ferrous, but not rare exceptions if the metal does not include iron and its alloys. In construction, ferrous metals are the most popular and applicable. Their use is present in almost any field of construction.
Types of pipes
Pipes divide the largest categories into two categories — profile and round. In the vast majority of cases, round pipes are used in pipeline highways (sewage, gas), profiles perform the function of creating supporting and supporting structures. Thanks to profile pipes, the mass of the supporting structure has significantly decreased, and also reduced the number of seams.
From production methods, two main groups can be distinguished — seamless and welded. Seamless pipes are made by forging, using pressing, drawing. At the final stage, rolling occurs, which is carried out in two temperature conditions, divided into cold and hot, deformed pipe. Seamless metal pipes are applicable with huge loads. Иногда при разборе конструкций, такие трубы подвергают обработке и продажа трубы бу, хоть и падает в цене, однако по характеристикам ничем не будет отличаться от новой.
Electric welding pipes are most often used in the water and gas pipeline. The manufacture of these pipes is carried out in three types: ordinary, lightweight, reinforced. The only difference is the thickness of the pipe wall. When designating these pipes, it is applicable to show both the internal and external diameter.
Non -ferrous metal pipes are also found — profile and round. However, their use is very specific and diverse. They are used, where corrosion resistance is required, as well as where it is necessary to reduce the mass of the structure, due to the smaller weight than such pipes made of ferrous metal. The use of these pipes is carried out for example in drilling plants due to the replacement of turbine with rotary drilling.
Pipes for communications
For heating and gas pipeline in domestic conditions, pipe from copper and various alloys are applicable. Brass pipes are considered widespread pipes, because having a small mass, they have a fairly great strength and good technical characteristics in household conditions. Brass pipes are not exposed to various magnetic waves and fields, have excellent flexible qualities.
Do not forget that the pipes made of non -ferrous metal are durable. And even when failing, it is possible to restore them using welding machines. Qualitatively restored pipes do not lose their previous qualities due to the fact that domestic needs allow this.
Copper pipes are probably the most corrosion -resistant. Their asset includes chemical inertia and the presence of bacteriostatic properties. Possessing these qualities, they are probably most suitable for heating and water supply. All types of pipes are made, according to GOSTs. In the CIS countries, pipeline rental takes first place in the world for production and quality.
