The Polish city of Torun is one of the most beautiful places in the whole world. Perhaps the Torun gingerbread are the most important edible attraction of the city. Gingerbread cookies are made according to an old recipe, on their smooth surface they depict the symbols of the city. Since 1997, the city has been included in the number of objects of the world cultural heritage of UNESCO. There is no need to describe all the beauty of the city, because Torun can only be seen and felt. Old buildings, medieval monuments, quiet streets and avenues, bulky bridges, impressive museums and exhibitions create a unique urban atmosphere.
In the old Torun, parts of the fortress, built by the crusaders in the XIII in. One of the towers of the fortress is called a crooked tower, some tourists compare with the Pizan tower. The town hall of the city is stood in the Gothic style: pointed to the top of the tower, massive hours showing the exact time. At night, the old city turns into a wonderful place. Bright light illuminates the city and emphasizes its uniqueness. Torun absorbed the centuries -old history of the city and the country. Having preserved all the best, the city appeared before us a stronghold of history and the best traditions.
