The installation of a new pattern in Joomla is essentially not anything difficult, exactly as the installation of other elements of the interface of this engine. But before installing the template, you will need it with the extension of ZIP, or to make up through special programs that I also described. If you do not have one yet, I posted, as it were, the training version of the template, reversed through the Arteester program.
Download a trial template after you downloaded it, go to the Joomla admin panel and go to the extension tab — install/delete (drawing below) before us opens a window with the installation of various extensions. We pay attention to the line «Download the package file». There will be the «Review» button. Press it, a window will open with the choice of the installation archive. Choose the archive downloaded by us and click the «Open» button (figure below) after that in the line line the package file will appear to the specified file, click the «Download file & set» () when successful installation of the template you will see the message set the template: successfully. (Drawing below) After that, you will need to go to the «templates manager» in the extension tab. Before us will open a window that we see in the next figure. This is the main window in which you will have to work with templates, so let’s deal with you in detail. As we see, the templates manager consists of a menu, on the right, and tables with a list of installed templates. In order to choose the desired template, you will need to put a switch on it and press the “default” button at the right on the top right. After that, the selected template is applied to the entire site, and in the column the default table by the default, a star will appear opposite it. If, in addition to the main template, you want to apply other templates to individual sections of your site, then this can be done by clicking on the name of the desired template or by choosing it by the switch and by clicking the «Change» button. At the same time, you will move to the menu shown below. Here you need to pay attention to the area «Binding to the menu item». In the value of the «menu» field, put the mark on «Select from the list». At the same time, the list of «Choosing a menu» in which you will need to indicate those parts of the site to which you want to apply another template will be active. If the points are several, then we highlight them with a combination of the mouse click + ctrl. After that, click in the right corner to save. Then you will return to the previous window. You can also edit the template html damp directly, as well as its styles. To do this, you need to select the desired template from the list and press in the upper right corner «change». After which you will move to this menu: the menu will be at the top right at the top right. Where, among other elements, the buttons will edit HTML and edit CSS. By pressing them you will go to the code editing window. Well, for this, of course, you need to speak at least the basic knowledge of these languages. So, for example, in order to edit the rights to materials at the bottom of the site (Footer), you will need to click on editing HTML, after which you will see the following code in the case of our template: the lower allocated line is a link to the site, the developer of the template.. It can be safely removed so as not to transfer the excess weight of your page for third -party sites. The upper circled line is an example of the placement of additional links and the signature for the rights. You can fix it at your discretion, and the links are generally deleted. After editing, click to save. The area changed by you is shown in the following figure: it is highlighted in red, and has the appearance before editing, and correcting how it was written above those lines you can get the form you need, or even delete these links.
